A tribute to my darling Tascha’s (*Kyena) “Wax Dragon”: [link]
Over at Pixelbrush we had a little challenge to reinterpret each other’s artwork, and I couldn’t help but chose Tascha’s dragon. It’s one of my all-time favorite digital paintings, so I was thrilled to have the chance to do something based off of it.
Done pretty quickly… so it’s not quite as polished as it could have been, but it felt good to do something for myself again! I really overloaded myself on work these past two months and it is starting to weigh down on me.
Anyway, Tascha’s original is perfect as far as I am concerned, but the title always struck me as strange. When I think of wax, I think of fire melting the wax… that was my main inspiration.
