Acrylic on canvas, 18” x 24”. Photographed unglazed. Colors are slightly off; see the detail for more accurate tones. Apologies for the slightly grainy texture. My camera is not very good.

My first acrylic painting of the semester… warming up for a more ambitious project. I’ve wanted to paint a girl drooling for a while. ;)

I dunno... That green and yellow makes me think of mucus. :bleh: But in a creepy good way I suppose. :D Cause I think the painting is gorgeous!

she looks so relaxed, almost a bit anaesthetized. And the white clothing and pale skin (adding my weird thoughts of the mucus) made me associate this a to a really nasty hospital or something. :fear:

Not very helpful critique, but at least some thoughts. ^^;

The drool is good - looks like she has too much honey in her mouth. I would like to see a front on drool with maybe some contextual content (eg. what or why the drool).

Hmm my only criticism would be that either her neck looks too long or her head looks too small.
But I could be wrong about that, what do I know about anatomy? :XD:
