It felt nice to do something totally self-indulgent alongside all my commissioned work. I’ve been itching to design some battle-ready armor for the Dhuriiehm (they are warriors, after all)—something that matches the cultural style I’ve invented for them.

How did you do the hair?

Dreds are easy. Block in each lock with a basic midtone and shadow tone, then use smaller brushes to add texture by crosshatching and scumbling. It's very loose at 100%.
